Alt-Right Group The Proud Boys Suspended From Twitter
Days after Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey publicly announced that he wouldnt be suspending Alex Jones from Twitter, the platform has suspended accounts associated with the alt-right group The Proud Boys, BuzzFeed News reports. The groups main account along with the account of its founder and former Fox News personality Gavin McInnes have been suspended for violations of the platforms policy against violent extremist groups. The groups regional accounts have also been suspended. The Proud Boys were present during the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia last year, and are returning to the Unite the Right 2 rally this weekend in Washington, D.C.
